The port of Jyväskylä has a place where these cosy moments are possible all year round. Viilu is a brand-new Sauna-Restaurant combination in the port of Jyväskylä, which opened in June 2022. With us you eat well, refresh yourself in the Sauna and party well into the night.
The location of Viilu is the best that Jyväskylä has to offer. The City Centre and the Travel Center are right next door, as are other services in the ever-developing Port of Jyväskylä. The popular Solo Sokos Hotel Paviljonki, Original Sokos Hotel Alexandra and event center Paviljonki are only a short walk away.
We serve food that is carefully thought out but not over complicated. We bow to domesticity and cover the table with authentic flavours in a relaxed way, without compromising on quality.
Our restaurant has seating for about 100 and in summer it is complemented by a large terrace. We take full advantage of the four seasons and let the menu live with the seasons. We recommend making a table booking in advance.
Both business guests and private individuals are warmly welcome. Staff parties, Christmas parties, trainings, weddings, birthdays – we can do it all. At the heart of it all is great food, which we serve according to the same principles as in our restaurant. We will tailor make the event and menu to your wishes.
Our spacious and bright upstairs space can accommodate up to 200 guests to admire the magnificent view of Lake Jyväsjärvi. The space can also be converted into smaller areas. Our meeting rooms are ideal for all-day meetings from 30 to 100 people. The evening meeting will be successful for a much larger group.
Our Sauna world includes three Saunas of different styles and sizes, offering unique and high-quality Sauna experiences. During the sauna session, you can take a dip in the lake or Jacuzzi, both in summer and in the winter. Come and promote your mental and physical well-being, both in everyday life and at parties, together with joy and relaxation.
Sauna prices:
To the price includes saunas, ecological shower soaps and the use of the lake pool and Jacuzzi. The pools are open all year round.
During the Sauna session you can get to know all three of our Saunas. In our Saunas swimwear is to be worn, as the facilities are shared by both women and men. Showering and changing facilities are separate. If you forgot your swimsuit at home, you can buy it from us.
Saunas are open Mon-Thu 10:30–21.30, Fri-Sat 10:30–23:30 and Sun 10:30–20:30. Book a place for yourself on our website and pay on arrival. You can also make a reservation on site if there is a vacancy in our saunas. There are 40 customer lockers. 20 on the men´s side and 20 on the women´s side.
When you arrive at the Sauna:
Register at reception and you will receive a wristband to access the Sauna department. There are separate dressing rooms and showers for men and women. Please wear a swimsuit when you move to the Sauna department, as these facilities are shared by both men and women.
In the middle of the Saunas there is a cooling area, through which you can access a sheltered terrace, Jacuzzis, and a lakeside pool. In the showers connected to the cooling area, you can rinse yourself after bathing before moving back to the Saunas.
On the terrace you can soak up the sun and enjoy the views to the lake. It is not allowed to bring your own drinks or drinks bought from the terrace to the Sauna department, but fresh water is always available. There is no swimming supervision at the pool.
